Consent Agenda - The following may be acted upon in one motion. A City Councilmember or a citizen may request items be
removed from the Consent Agenda for individual consideration.
7A. Consider action to approve minutes from the City Council Strategic Plan Workshop of April 30 & May
3, 2018, Special Meeting May 29, 2018, Special Meeting May 30, 2018, Special Joint Meeting June
12, 2018, Special Meeting June 20, 2018, Special Meeting June 21, 2018, Strategic Planning Session
June 29 & June 30, 2018 and Regular Meeting July 3, 2018.
7B. Consider action to approve a resolution exercising the second of three one-year renewal options for
Hillside Veterinary Clinic of Rowlett to provide veterinarian services for the Rowlett Animal Shelter.
7C. Consider action to approve an ordinance amending Chapter 26 of the City Code of Ordinances
regarding the establishment of the Fire Prevention Division and providing for duties, responsibilities,
and reporting relationships.
7D. Consider action to approve a resolution authorizing the City of Rowlett to enter into a five-year
agreement with Axon Enterprise, Inc., for the purchase of car cameras, body cameras and interview
room cameras for a total cost of $941,213.25, to be paid with one equipment payment upfront totaling
$199,999.11 and five annual payments beginning October 1, 2018, and authorizing the City Manager
to execute the necessary documents to purchase said equipment.
7E. Consider action to approve the purchase from Sterlington Medical of 21 Automated External
Defibrillators (AEDs) for deployment in City facilities and public safety vehicles.

Obligation Bonds, Series 2018, and City of Rowlett Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds,
Series 2018,” including the adoption of Ordinances authorizing the issuance of such bonds and
approving all other matters incident thereto.
